Create Recipes, Save Time

Build Once. Log Forever.
Creating recipes in TCT is a powerful way to streamline your food logging routine—especially for meals you eat regularly. Whether it’s your morning smoothie, your favorite lunch bowl, or a go-to dinner, saving it as a recipe means you can log it in seconds next time—without rebuilding it from scratch.

Two Easy Ways to Create a Recipe

Option 1: Build from Scratch

Navigate to the Recipe page from the main convenience menu or by tapping the recipe book icon on the Food Log. From there, you can:
- Name your recipe
- Choose a serving unit (e.g., slice, scoop, piece)
- Define the total number of servings
- Add individual ingredients
- Include notes or cooking instructions (optional)
Defining servings is especially important—TCT uses this info to calculate accurate macro and micronutrient values per portion, which improves the precision of your nutritional analysis.
Once saved, your recipe becomes immediately available in your Food Log for fast, one-tap logging.

Option 2: Convert a Logged Meal into a Recipe

Already built a meal you love? Turn it into a recipe in seconds.
From the Food Log, just tap the ellipsis icon (•••) above the meal you want to save. Select “Save Meal as Recipe” from the dropdown. You’ll be taken to the Recipe page with all the ingredients preloaded—just add a title, adjust servings, and save.

Built for Real Life

We know recipes aren’t always exact. That’s why TCT lets you fine-tune individual ingredient amounts when logging a meal—so even if you change brands or tweak a recipe, you can keep your logs accurate without losing the original recipe structure.

Why It Matters

Recipes make food logging faster, more consistent, and far more accurate. They also support better trend analysis, stronger symptom correlations, and easier nutrient tracking over time. With TCT, it’s not just about what you eat—it’s about understanding it fully.
