Suspect Food Correlations
Reveal Hidden Food-Symptom Connections—Right From Your Dashboard
The Suspect Food Correlations section is one of TCT’s most powerful features. It’s designed to help you identify which foods, ingredients, or allergens may be contributing to the symptoms you log. Using our proprietary algorithm, TCT analyzes your meal and symptom history to surface a ranked list of potential culprits—so you can make smarter decisions about what to eliminate or monitor.
Understand the Score and Confidence
Each item on the list includes two key insights:
- Score – This indicates how strongly an item is associated with a specific symptom. The higher the score, the more likely it’s contributing to your discomfort.
- Confidence – A value between 0 and 1 that reflects how confident we are that the result isn’t due to chance. Higher confidence means a stronger, more reliable signal.
When both the score and confidence are high, you have a clear, data-backed reason to consider eliminating that food, ingredient, or allergen from your diet—at least temporarily.
See Correlations Evolve in Real Time
On your Dashboard, suspect items are listed beneath each symptom you've logged within the past 30 days. You can toggle between foods, ingredients, and allergens, depending on how you want to explore your data. If there’s not enough data logged for a specific category, you’ll see a helpful message asking for more input. Your results will populate and update automatically—no extra work required.
Flag What Matters
Found a likely culprit? You can flag it right from the Dashboard to start monitoring it more closely. Once flagged, TCT will:
- Alert you when the item appears in future meals
- Track its frequency on your Dashboard
- Help you monitor progress if you’re trying to eliminate it
This integrated functionality replaces the need for stand-alone food flagging apps—and keeps all your tracking and insights in one place.
Customize Your Analysis
For more control, tap the arrow on any symptom box to jump to the Suspect Food Analysis page. From there, you can:
- Adjust the symptom time window
- Modify the analysis period
- Switch between food, ingredient, or allergen focus
These tools give you the flexibility to run deeper, more personalized investigations when you need them—while keeping the Dashboard clean and focused on quick insight.
A Note on Data and Visibility
TCT depends on ingredient and allergen data sourced from public and licensed food databases. If you don’t see results for certain categories, it may be due to missing ingredient data for the foods you’ve logged. We recommend continuing to log both symptoms and meals consistently, so TCT can keep refining your analysis and uncover new insights over time.
Designed to Deliver Actionable Data
Suspect Food Correlations is more than a feature—it’s your shortcut to understanding what your body may be reacting to. Like every part of TCT, its value depends on accurate and consistent logging. We’ve designed the experience to make that as easy as possible, and we’re always here to help.
